I was born and raised in Germany and in 2013, I started my career as a family and new-born photographer. After moving to Hong Kong with my family in 2016 I explore the streets of the busy metropolis with my camera.
Monthly, I organized photography workshops and outings in which I taught various techniques and themes. I strongly believe that taking pictures is not all about technique but emotions. Now, I am based again in Germany and I am thankful for having had the opportunity to immerse into a different culture and broaden my view.
For me, emotions and memorable moments are valuable, and I capture them in my photographs. Within my work I am driven by a strong interest in human interactions. My work as family photographer has sharpened my view in this sense and it has become a key instrument in my daily work as photographer.
In my projects, I am interested in contextualizing the element of change. Change is an ever-present element in life - be it on a personal or social level. I believe that photographs in this sense can build a bridge between past, present and future.
I hold a master's degree in photography, MFA from Ulster University, Belfast.
